It is with a huge sense of sadness but also with a sense of relief that Sean has finally been brought home. It has undoubtedly been an extremely difficult 3 weeks for everyone that’s been involved in what can only be described as an extraordinary effort in the search for Sean where human generosity & kindness from everyone in the Club came to the fore.
We can’t imagine what Karen, Aaron, Thomas & Abigail & the family have been going through over the last few weeks but I hope the show of support from so many people in the Simonstown community gives them some comfort & really emphasises the love & respect people had for Sean. We will all continue to be there for Karen & the family in whatever way we can.
On behalf of everyone in the Club we would like to thank each & every one of the Rescue Teams that have given so much time & effort in the search for Sean & in particular Hopper, Jamie, Shane & all of the Meath River Rescue who have been absolutely fantastic.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
