Blackhall were into their stride early and were 0—3 to 0—0 after ten minutes. Jack Dunne palmed over to get the scoreboard ticking for the home team on Thursday on evening in Simonstown. Brian Neary and Kyle McEvoy pointed to have the teams level 0—3 each with twenty minutes played. Neary with a free put the Navan men ahead but the Kilcloone men again levelled and went the two up. Joe Lyons had final score for hosts on stroke of half time to leave the minimum between the teams at the break. Blackhall 0—6 Simons 0—5.
Brian Neary sent over to put the teams level again. Seamus Kenny then went on a scoring rampage with three (3) [1f] points in a row to put the Sky Blues 0—9 to 0—6 in front at the start of fourth quarter. Blackhall added a free while Joe Lyons replied for Simons to make 0—10 to 0—7 with seven to play. The Kilcloon men threw everything at Simons defence and eventually levelled 0—10 each in third minute of injury time with a free !!!. Another harsh free sent Blackhall into the lead a minute later. The last incident of the game ended being a goal for Blackhall. Thus ended the third teams league campaign for 2024.. They have retained their status in A League Division 8 for 2025 season with early wins and draws at beginning of league. . The Club had difficulty fieding teams due to exams,holidays ,injuries, young players and students working. With three just games played they had used thirty (30)players and forty five in all during league. Great credit to Managers Charlie McNulty/ Martin Gorman selectors Timmy Sullivan and Dan Kane.
