Congratulations to our u14 girls who ran out deserved winners against a very tough and resilient Walterstown team on Sunday morning. 

The first half was very tight with nothing in it, nerves were getting the better of both teams as the girls settled into the final. After some fantastic defending by the girls Simonstown edged it at halftime and went in up by 4 points. 

The 2nd half started slowly for the Simonstown girls and Walterstown registered the first score. With a few positional changes and a pivotal save from the Simonstown goalie the girls started to grow in confidence. They finished the match unbelievably strong and blew Walterstown away in the last quarter and ran out winners on a scoreline of 4 - 09 to 1 - 05. 

It would be unfair to highlight any particular girl for praise as the girls came together so well and the teamwork and commitment was incredible throughout the match from all 19 girls.
