The final meeting of this year's Executive was held on 04 November last.  Our AGM is planned for Wednesday December 03rd at 8pm and notice and relevant documents will issue soon via email.  As recently advised, this is an opportunity to participate in the direction that the club is going, stand for Executive positions and vote on any motions arising.  One motion that will be put forward is the revision of our Membership Fees for the years 2026 and 2027 as indicated last month. I encourage everyone who is eligible, to nominate, attend and vote.  It is my intention to stand for Chairman again, but I am happy for others to take on this and other roles.

On Saturday the 15th of November a Club Merchandise Day will be held in our club with our new gear supplier KCS attending from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. This is an opportunity for all our members and supporters to view our new gear, to try stuff, to place some orders and maybe get some early Christmas shopping done.  On Monday 17th November, our KCS online club shop on www.kcsports.ie will go live.  All orders placed before 25 November are promised to be delivered in time for Christmas. More details on our gear, the packs, the 'Merch' Day and our jersey launch with our new Main sponsor Glenveagh will be on our socials and Clubzap.

As regards Football, team reviews are ongoing and the Committee's process of putting in place managements teams for next year is well underway. We recently concluded our Mini Leagues which was very successful. Many thanks to our key sponsor in this Credit Union Plus for their generous support.  Thanks to all who organised and volunteered but a special note of appreciation to Sonya Tobin.  Our gym upgrade is progressing well and planning is underway for a number of coaching workshops to be held over the next few months.  Thanks to Fionn and Ava who coached in primary schools recently. In terms of infrastructure, we are planning on installing the main pitch lights and ball wall, all going well, in Spring 2026. Various other works including an upgrade of our broadband are also in hand.  The Community Committee is continuing its work and recently met with Jigsaw our Club Charity to discuss practical measures of support that we can take.  As regards Finance, the Committee are continuing great efforts in putting us onto a sounder financial footing so we can cover our costs and invest in football facilities. Our biggest and last Fundraiser this year is the 200 Club Draw and I ask that everyone where possible makes an effort to support this be either buying or selling (or ideally both) a ticket.  Tickets can be bought through Clubzap, or by contacting Alan Sweeney and his committee or at various Pop Ups (tonight Friday 07 Nov at 8:30pm and Monday 10th at 7:30pm) in the club.

I attended a chairman's forum in Dunganny on Thursday the 6th of November. At that, a number of proposals were put forward by Meath County Board for discussion.   Most notably, is a proposal from the Meath Football Committee that there will be two grades within Senior football, namely Senior 1 and Senior 2 with eight teams in each. This, if voted in, will come into effect from 2027 with the grading based on who reaches the quarterfinals in next year's championship. Other matters discussed included a proposal from Walterstown that underage gradings revert to even numbers, namely under 12 under 14 under 16 and under 18.  These matters will be decided in a number of weeks at the county convention.
