Simonstown......2-11
Skryne..........0-10
A goal in each half from Chris O'Neill helped Simonstown to keep early Feis Cup momentum with a home win over Skryne.
O'Neill's opening goal just before the first water break helped to settle Simonstown after a wasteful early period and they were able to build on that 1-1 to 0-1 advantage to take 1-7 to 0-4 lead in at half-time.
Brian Conlon was back from inter-county duty with Meath and helped to control the middle with brother Sean while Shane Gallagher and Padraig McKeever were also back for their first games of the season.
Andrew Kearney (pictured) found O'Neill in space behind the Skryne defence for a second goal and Simonstown led by 2-10 to 0-6 at that stage but Skryne scored three of the last four points to finish strong.
Simonstown have already beaten Ratoath in the first round and now play St Colmcille's at home next Wednesday at 7.45.
