Simonstown's latest attempt to win a first Feis Cup title unfolds in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday (4pm), when the seniors play Wolfe Tones in the this year's final.
It will be the third meeting between the teams. The previous two meetings, in the Feis Cup Group B game and a senior championship second round, have not gone well for Simonstown with heavy defeats on both occasions.
Simonstown's previous Feis Cup final appearances were against Seneschalstown in 1994 and 2007 and Donaghmore-Ashbourne in 2016 which was lost after extra-time.
It is generally considered the 'third' competition in Meath football and has been played in many different formats but this year it replaced the league as the 'second' competition and has added status now.
